Sheepskin rugs are a powerful cleaning job all in itself, and many first time carpet buyers are not as secure as the carpet really clean. Depending on whether or not you have a synethic or 100% natural sheepskin, you'll either be able to hand wash or put it in the machine.
First, I would like to clarify the use of any kind of water and cleaning fluid leaves only. I have an old trick that I like to use in cleaning sheepskin. First get your hands on a stiff metal brush,and either a hand vacuum cleaner or your big vacuum. If you use your big vacuum are I would recommend for the tube with a pair of tights or something similar. Take the wire brush and give your sheepskin a beautiful strike from head to toe. As soon as it gently brushed out vacuum run over everything and hopefully you will most of the gunk out.
